Welcome to Whidbey’s Nonprofit Directory

This directory is a free community resource created by the Whidbey Community Foundation to connect residents and donors with the many organizations serving our island. Inclusion does not imply endorsement or funding, and not all organizations listed are WCF grantees. We strive to keep information current and accurate. For updates, additions, or questions, please contact us at [email protected] or (360) 660-5041.

Description

Orca Recovery Day is a day of action in the Pacific Northwest to build awareness and make a difference for the Salish Sea's Southern Resident Orcas. Join us for this family-friendly work party and help out with habitat restoration work along Admiralty Inlet to support water quality, healthy salmon and healthy orcas. All ages welcome!

Difficulty Level:
Easy: Trim vegetation and pick up trash while walking on uneven terrain.
Moderate: Bending, kneeling and walking with tools up to 1-2 miles for trail trimming and weeding around plants.
Difficult: Move dirt and rocks across trail. Requires bending and walking on uneven terrain for 1-2 miles.

The Land Trust will provide tools, snacks and drinks; all you need to do is bring a pair of work gloves and be ready for outdoor fun with fellow volunteers!
