Welcome to Whidbey’s Nonprofit Directory

This directory is a free community resource created by the Whidbey Community Foundation to connect residents and donors with the many organizations serving our island. Inclusion does not imply endorsement or funding, and not all organizations listed are WCF grantees. We strive to keep information current and accurate. Description
You’re invited to a special sail aboard the Suva, followed by a gathering at the Coupeville Wharf with Rachel Clark, author of The Blackfish Prophecy.

First, we'll step aboard the classic schooner Suva for a two‑hour cruise on Penn Cove, celebrating Orca Network’s 25th Anniversary and our work connecting people with the whales of the Pacific Northwest. As we sail, you’ll have time for informal conversation with Rachel and reflection on the history and significance of this area to the Southern Resident orcas.

After our sail, Rachel will share a special reading from her novel The Blackfish Prophecy and the deep spiritual connection to Penn Cove that inspired her dream for this event. Together, we’ll explore themes of connection, memory, and stewardship. First on the water, then under the whale bones featured in the historic Coupeville Wharf building.
