Welcome to Whidbey’s Nonprofit Directory

This directory is a free community resource created by the Whidbey Community Foundation to connect residents and donors with the many organizations serving our island. Inclusion does not imply endorsement or funding, and not all organizations listed are WCF grantees. We strive to keep information current and accurate. Alert

We're temporarily closed, but we'll be back!

We are in the permitting process. We hope to open the Sound Space Chambered  Mound to the public in Fall 2026.

The Sound Space Chambered  Mound is a monumental work of art at Earth Sanctuary designed to inspire sound and musical exploration, spiritual growth, and healing experiences. Sound Space will be a chambered mound that evokes feelings of connection, peace, and wonder through the power of sound.  Grounded in research from Dr. Aaron Watson, the world’s leading acoustical archaeologist, Sound Space is designed to evoke spiritual, transcendental, and shamanic sensations through the natural resonance and toning unique to such sacred spaces such as Maes Howe on the Orkney Islands. The Sound Space Chambered Mound is currently going through the Island County Planning Department permitting process.

We expect visitors locally and internationally.

History

Founded in 2026

The Sound Space Chambered Mound has been a vision of Chuck Pettis since 2002, and we hope to manifest the vision in the Fall of 2026.
