Volunteer Chore Program - Firewood Provision Volunteer

Help seniors remain independent in their own homes!

Help seniors and people with disabilities in your community by chopping and preparing firewood to help keep their homes warm. 
The opportunity is flexible based on your availability and schedule! 

The Volunteer Chore Program serves both Island and Whatcom counties. The program connects volunteers to low-income older adults (60 and over) and adults with functional disabilities to help them remain independent in their own homes. The Volunteer Chore Program serves as a community safety net for whom other resources are unavailable. Our program matches individual volunteers with community members including veterans who need help with free access to day-to-day chores such as yard care, grocery shopping, prescription pickup, dog walking, and housekeeping.
