Volunteer Chore Program - Housework Volunteer

Help seniors remain independent in their own homes!

Do you love to help people in your community? The Volunteer Chore Program is looking for someone who is interested in helping seniors with regular housekeeping and organizing. Many of our clients are struggling to keep their home clean and an hour here and there is a huge help! Cleaning supplies are provided by clients. Help to change a life and volunteer today. This opportunity is open to volunteers of all ages, as long as an adult is present.

The Volunteer Chore Program serves both Island and Whatcom counties. The program connects volunteers to low-income older adults (60 and over) and adults with functional disabilities to help them remain independent in their own homes. The Volunteer Chore Program serves as a community safety net for whom other resources are unavailable. Our program matches individual volunteers with community members including veterans who need help with free access to day-to-day chores such as yard care, grocery shopping, prescription pickup, dog walking, and housekeeping.
