Welcome to Whidbey’s Nonprofit Directory

This directory is a free community resource created by the Whidbey Community Foundation to connect residents and donors with the many organizations serving our island. Inclusion does not imply endorsement or funding, and not all organizations listed are WCF grantees. We strive to keep information current and accurate. South Whidbey Island

History

Founded in 2023

South Whidbey Pride was informally founded in the spring of 2023 when a group of like-minded people formed a committee to resurrect the Langley Pride Parade after a four-year hiatus. The South Whidbey Pride Parade and Celebration, held July 8, 2023, was a resounding success! Hundreds of community members participated in the parade, and hundreds of others lined the streets of Langley to cheer on the parade. The community celebrated afterward in the courtyard of South Whidbey Community Center with music, food, speakers, and tables that offered information and giveaways. With full hearts from the positive response, the Pride committee built on the event’s success and formally incorporated on September 27, 2023 as South Whidbey Pride, a Washington 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Our mission:
To unite, educate, and engage people to support, empower, and celebrate the South Whidbey LGBTQ+ community and its allies.
