Garage of Blessings serves Whidbey Island neighbors in need by providing a welcoming place to receive tangible goods and basic human care at no cost. Every interaction at Garage of Blessings is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and that asking for help should never diminish a person's worth. Whether someone is facing an unexpected crisis, navigating long-term challenges, or simply needs additional support, our volunteers welcome every neighbor with compassion, respect, and hope.
Through our Free Community Thrift Store, Pantry of Blessings, community donations program, and resource navigation services, we help individuals and families meet essential needs while building stronger, healthier communities.
Hours & Program Availability
Garage of Blessings is open Monday through Friday from 11 AM–3 PM, with specific program hours varying throughout the week.
Monday | 11 AM–2 PM
Pantry of Blessings: Access food, hygiene items, and household essentials through our community pantry program.
Monday, Wednesday & Friday | 11 AM–3 PM
Tuesday & Thursday | 11 AM–3 PM
Donation Days: Drop off approved household donations and help support our mission of serving neighbors through community generosity.

SERVICE AREA: Garage of Blessings is located in Oak Harbor and primarily serves neighbors throughout Island County. As a community-supported organization, we are committed to ensuring local donations and resources directly benefit our local community while remaining true to our mission of providing compassionate, barrier-free assistance. Our programs are open to anyone seeking support. We do not require proof of residency or registration, and we welcome individuals and families who live in, work in, are visiting, or passing through Island County.
Garage of Blessings was founded in 2012 on a simple belief: neighbors helping neighbors creates stronger, healthier communities. What began as a small, grassroots effort to collect and freely share clothing and household items from a neighborhood garage has grown into a trusted community resource serving thousands of neighbors each year.
While the organization has grown significantly over the years, our purpose remains unchanged. We continue to provide a welcoming, dignified place where individuals and families can access essential resources at no cost, connect with community support, and experience compassion without judgment.
Today, Garage of Blessings is a 100% volunteer-led nonprofit that has evolved from a small grassroots initiative into a multifaceted community resource. Through the Free Community Thrift Store, Pantry of Blessings, community resource navigation, and other support programs, we help meet basic needs, provide basic human care, and strengthen the health and resilience of our community. Though much has changed since our early days, our commitment to treating every neighbor with dignity, respect, and hope remains at the heart of everything we do.
