American Roots Concert Series: Duende Libre

Join us to enjoy music by Duende Libre in the American Roots Concert Series at Deception Pass State Park. Duende Libre is a dynamic and uplifting quartet that blends elements of Afro-Cuban jazz with Brazilian samba, American funk, and traditional West African music into a unique sound of their own. Duende Libre features longtime collaborators Alex Chadsey (piano, keyboards & compositions), Farko Dosumov (electric bass), and Jeff “Bongo” Busch (drums & percussion), and Frank Anderson, a dynamic and engaging vocalist, drummer, and dancer. About the concert series: This beloved summer tradition brings musicians from around the world to the North Beach Amphitheater for evenings of live folk, bluegrass, Afro-Cuban, Celtic and a variety of other world music in one of Washington’s most scenic settings. Concerts are held Saturdays from 7-8 p.m. and are free to attend. Come join us for an evening of live music overlooking the water at Deception Pass State Park. The 2026 series is being held in partnership with The Deception Pass Park Foundation, Washington State Parks, Island County, Dwayne Lane’s Skagit Subaru, Washington State Parks Foundation, Celtic Arts Foundation, Early Music Seattle, ArtsWA and the National Endowment for the Arts.
