All-Island Community Band on Whidbey Island, Washington established in 1966.
The All-Island Community is an all-volunteer organization that plays for local events including festivals, fundraisers, parades, Fourth of July, and Holland Happenings. In December, the band plays carols at retirement facilities, non-profits, and other venues around Oak Harbor and Coupeville. All band instruments welcome: flute, oboe, clarinet, sax family, trumpet/cornet, F horn, baritone (treble and bass clef), trombone, tuba, string bass, percussion.
Membership is free. There are no auditions to join. It is helpful to have concert band/orchestra experience. Your experience does not have to be recent. The band includes all skill levels even if you have not played for a while, you are welcome.
The band meets from mid-September to Memorial Day on Thursdays, 6:30-8 PM. Beginning Memorial Day to Labor Day, the band plays summer outdoor concerts at locations in the Oak Harbor and Coupeville area.
