Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs have come under much scrutiny and attack recently. How can organizations continue to strive towards these necessary goals in the face of such pressure?
This interactive workshop provides participants with an overview of concepts related to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI). It offers opportunities for participants to explore expansive ways in which they can integrate these concepts into their organizations. The workshop focuses on the ways in which each of us embodies a range of personal identities and how our identities can shape the ways in which we interact with others of differing identities, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, and other aspects of who we are. The key message of the workshop is that JEDI work is work that we all can share. It’s not about shame, blame, or guilt; it’s about the willingness to learn, explore, and take positive action.
